Surrey Tree Warden Network Insurance

Our insurance cover includes Public Liability insurance, Trustee Liability and also Personal Accident Cover for Tree Wardens while working as a registered Surrey Tree Wardens Network tree warden.

Please note that to be covered, volunteers must be registered with STWN, have done the Induction training and comply with the restrictions stated of being trained for the tools they are using, not using power tools and not using chemicals.

The insurance certificate is provided below in case you need to show it as evidence of coverage. All claims under the policy must be discussed with, investigated and approved by the Trustees who will then place them with the Insurer if it is appropriate.

Planting trees on the highway

Surrey County Council has committed to facilitate the planting of 1.2 million trees by 2030, one for every Surrey resident. The link below explains how residents and organisations can apply for trees to be planted outside their own property or on local areas of large highway verge.
